PRODRONE Develops a Tunnel Inspection Drone

Nagoya-JAPAN, September 6, 2017- PRODRONE is thrilled to announce it has developed the PD4-AW-S, a tunnel inspection drone. PRODRONE showcases the new model at its booth at InterDrone 2017, to be held September 6-8, 2017 in Las Vegas.

The PRODRONE PD4-AW-S is utilizing a system that includes several built-in lasers, this drone provides steadfast automatic flight in environments where GPS systems cannot operate, such as the internal inspection of large warehouses and tunnels. This allows extensive inspections over widespread areas to be completed with a lighter workload for the personnel involved.

The sophisticated PRODRONE automatic system provides the ultimate safety measure by automatically sensing unforeseen obstacles, which is a frequent occurrence when working on construction sites and in warehouses where the landscape changes day to day. Video footage filmed by the PD4-AW-S is transmitted back to the operator live, enabling an evaluation of the situation as it happens, right in one’s hands.
